The real problem
Studying without direction is
different from not studying.
If you already have study material, Lyper can help you practice the sections where your answers show a gap. See how the explanations work before deciding whether to add it to your preparation.
The numbers
First and repeat
attempts.
In 2025, Pearson VUE recorded 42,566 Texas General Lines Life, Accident and Health exam attempts in English.
First attempt

Repeat attempt

These are outcomes for different groups of attempts, not a verdict on your method.
The rates do not tell us why anyone passed or failed. Your own practice answers can still show a useful next step: review the concept you missed, then practice it again.

Common questions
Do I need a prelicensing course in Texas?+
No. Texas does not require prelicensing education for this license. You still need to meet the state requirements, including the exam, application, fee and fingerprints. Lyper helps you prepare for the exam; it does not issue a license.
See the requirements on the TDI site →What is on the exam?+
On exam day you see 145 questions: 130 scored (100 general plus 30 on Texas law) and 15 unscored pretest questions, administered by Pearson VUE. Pearson VUE reports a scaled score, not a raw percentage. Our bank mirrors the official content outline section by section, with the same weights.
How is this different from a course or a question bank?+
Keep using the study material that helps you. Lyper adds explanations and practice selected with the official section weights and your recent answers. Five free questions let you see the approach before paying.
What does the guarantee cover?+
Complete the 73 lessons in your guarantee study plan before exam day. If you fail your first eligible Texas Life and Health attempt during your access period, send the official Pearson VUE score report for a full refund, subject to the published conditions.
